Palms Casino Resort is the first Vegas property to be owned and operated by a Native American tribe, under the ownership of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. Located just a mile west of the Bellagio, the hotel grew in popularity partially owing to its pool parties that attracted about 3,000 guests.

Palms Place is a condo hotel connected to Palms Casino Resort and owned by the same management. These are where the two pools are located: Palms Pool (also known as Soak Pool) at the main resort and Laguna Pool at Palms Place.

Hotel guests in both hotels can use the two pools due to the shared ownership.

In 2019, the Palms Casino Resort completed a $650 million renovation that transformed it into a modern art museum-themed hotel with a renovated pool deck.

At the time, this was the most expensive renovation in Vegas history but that title is no more as the Venetian Resort announced in May 2024 of a $1.5 billion renovation, the most expensive in world history.

After the renovation, the Palms Hotel became one of the most sought-after destinations, owing to its luxurious theme filled with an impressive art collection.

The multi-level Palms Pool complex wasn’t altered much, opting to keep its two pools, plush cabanas, giant daybeds, and in-cabana private plunge pools. Remodels included structural upgrades that added a new restaurant space bringing more drink and food options.

The new pool maintained its pool parties but with a more laid-back vibe and fewer guests. If you want to see the best pools in Vegas with a crazier pool party atmosphere then the TAO Beach at Venetian Las Vegas and Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan are some of your best bets.

Palm trees populate this tropical oasis, covering all levels and the rooftop. Greek-themed architecture surrounds the pool area with beige and cream themed colors with a luxurious touch.

Covering 73,000 sq. ft, the Palms Pool has two levels. The lower level has two circular pools located next to one another; one is fully circular while the other is partially circular with a lounging area in the middle.

Located on all sides are couches and Lilypad lounges on the front and private cabanas at the back. Curved screens are perched on several walls, displaying entertaining shows, sports, and events. Underneath the screens are stages for DJs performers and live events.

A pyramid-shaped staircase takes you up to the upper level where the exclusive VIP private cabanas/bungalows are housed, featuring balcony-style plunge pools with glass walls overlooking the lower level. The VIP sections also offer exclusive access to performers during live music events.

If you are headed to the gym then you will be happy to know it overlooks the pool, adding more excitement to your workouts.

Laguna Pool is a smaller but still serene tropical oasis. It is an L-shaped pool surrounding the Palms Place tower on the 6th floor.

It has private cabanas and lounge chairs, albeit not as luxurious or spacious as those in Palms Pool.

Laguna Pool is located on the sixth floor of Palms Place, outside the main resort. It is part of the Palms Place Hotel & Spa and is open to guests staying at Palms Casino Resort.

What makes Laguna Pool stand out is the poolside Laguna House & Kitchen. Executive Chef Luke Palladino offers a diverse menu, featuring globally-inspired dishes at reasonable prices.

The restaurant’s design and exciting events, including rock ‘n’ roll karaoke sushi nights and soul-funk Sunday brunches, add an extra layer of enjoyment. Try their poolside sushi boat and feast on their fire-grilled salmon.

Cabanas

Laguna cabanas come in a standard and premier package. Premier cabanas cost $225 – $300 minimum while the standard cabanas cost $175 – $250 minimum.
