Eating in an all-you-can-eat buffet is an essential part of the Vegas experience, and Sin City has options for all budgets, ranging from the luxuriously high-end to the simple and affordable.
If you want to experience a Las Vegas buffet but don’t have loads of cash to spend, there are still some great options to tempt you – and here we have the lowdown on all the cheap buffets in Las Vegas that are currently open.
Cheap Buffets On-Strip (Under $37)
Some of Vegas’ most expensive buffets are found on the Strip, but there are a couple of more affordable options to check out too – so let’s look at those first.
MGM Grand Buffet
Overview
The MGM Grand may be one of Vegas’ most iconic resorts, but the buffet is surprisingly affordable, making it a great option if you want to save some cash.
It specializes in classic American fare, so expect all your breakfast and brunch favorites – along with a few international options if you feel like something a little more exotic.
The buffet currently offers a combined breakfast and brunch sitting every day, finishing at 3pm. At present, there are no lunch or dinner sittings, although these may return in the future.
Saturdays and Sundays are slightly more expensive, but a wider selection of food is served on those days, and the price includes selected drinks – including some alcoholic drinks.
Highlights
The eggs Benedict are always popular, as are the made-to-order omelets – there are two stations for these to help reduce wait times.
There are pastries for those with a sweet tooth, and an impressive carvery section for those who prefer meat.
For seafood fans, the snow crab legs are always a big draw – but look out for the likes of shrimp cocktail, mussels, clams, oysters and crayfish too.
To finish it all off, there’s a wide range of desserts to choose from too – assuming you’ve still got some space!

The Buffet at Excalibur

The Excalibur buffet is now open all week, serving brunch from 8am to 3pm daily. The sittings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are slightly more expensive, but you can expect a wider range of dishes on those days.
The food on offer includes American and international dishes, with plenty of sweet and savory options to keep everyone happy – and it all comes at a very reasonable low price.
Highlights
Those with a sweet tooth will want to head to the made-to-order crêpe station – and the made-to-order omelet station is a big favorite too.

The Buffet at Luxor
Overview
Broadly similar to the Excalibur buffet in terms of pricing and selection of food, the Luxor buffet represents another great value option on the Strip.
The buffet is open every day for brunch – except for Mondays and Tuesdays. Prices are slightly higher from Friday to Sunday.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality and range of food on offer – and you can also choose the unlimited drinks option, which gives you bottomless mimosas and bloody marys for up to an hour and half.
Highlights
One highlight is the huge 30ft salad bar, although for some people, filling up on salad defeats the object of eating at a buffet.
If you want to make the most of the other sections, look out for the excellent carvery featuring slow-roasted beef or ham steamship and roasted turkey. There’s also a homemade pizza area, along with plenty of pastries and desserts for those in search of something sweet.

Circus Buffet, Circus Circus
Overview
The Circus Buffet is back up and running and represents one of the most popular options at the more affordable end of the price range.
The buffet offers a daily combined breakfast/brunch/lunch sitting and a separate dinner sitting from Friday to Sunday. Sadly, it is only open Friday to Monday, closed on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The food focuses on American classics, and although it doesn’t have as wide a selection as some of Vegas’ other buffets, the Circus Buffet makes up for it by offering great value.
Highlights
The fried chicken and fried shrimp always go down well at the Circus Buffet, and you can also look out for the likes of tacos and burritos. The ice cream section and desserts like carrot cake will please those looking for something a bit sweeter.
Opening times and prices
The price for the early sitting is the same throughout, so it is just referred to as “brunch”, but “lunch” food items appear at 11am. Here are the times and prices:

Highlights
If you go for a Prime Rib Dinner, the main highlight, unsurprisingly, is the rib, although there’s also plenty of juicy ham, turkey, lamb and more to choose from.

A.Y.C.E. Buffet at the Palms Casino Resort
Overview
The Palms Casino Resort may be home to some of the most expensive rooms and the most exclusive gaming floors in Vegas, but the buffet there is surprisingly affordable.
Unusually, the food is not grouped by country of origin but rather by the style of preparation, and sections include World Pan, Revival, The Greenery, The Roastery, The Hearth, Smoke & Fire and Sweet & Light.
Note that some of the special sittings like lobster night and snow crab night can be more expensive, although they’re still good value for what you pay.
Highlights
Thursday dinners are crab feast nights, and Friday dinners feature prime rib, so those are what you should fill up if that’s when you visit. Similarly, if you’re there for Wednesday dinner, make sure you eat as much lobster as you can.
At any time, the carvery will be a big hit for those who love meat – while those who enjoy seafood won’t be disappointed by the piles of delicious shrimp.

Plenty of Places to Feast without Spending a Fortune
In the post-pandemic world, it’s true that there are far fewer buffet options than there once were – which is hardly surprising since the concept of a self-serve buffet doesn’t really lend itself to the post-covid New Normal.
However, a handful have already opened up again and are welcoming diners back, and if you want to try one without burning a hole in your pocket, the ones on our list are all worth considering.
