Established in 2019, Cuts & Cocktails was part of Cosmo’s renovation project, bringing Las Vegas the new Block 16, Lardo, Hatti B’s, and Ghost Donkey.
It is made up of a small three-seat barbershop decorated with white walls, black & white tiled floors, several pictures & paintings, and not to mention a black-colored exterior with the company’s logo.
A hidden bar area makes up the second section of the bar that serves as a speakeasy. The Barbershop speakeasy borrowed its bar section from a Kentucky mahogany bar dating back to the 1800s.
A lounge area filled with posh couches and plush curtains brings out the venue’s elegant personality. It is a vintage style that may be more appealing to boomers than many millennials; regardless, the clientele is vast and diverse.
Sparking chandeliers bring the room to life, while the long bar makes for a great place to sit and meet new people. Behind the bar is an impressive display of whiskeys and many bottles of bourbon and craft liquors. If you fancy lots of vodkas, you may be amiss drinking at the bar; it is whisky centric.
A small center stage gives space for the house band and a roaster of other bands who make appearances from time to time. DJs are regular at the venue, but karaoke Tuesdays light up the stage more often.
How to Locate the Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails Speakeasy Entrance
As a speakeasy, the Barbershop in Cosmo borrows from the Prohibition Era in the United States. This was the period between 1920 and 1933 when alcohol was prohibited in any establishment. You could not sell, make, or consume liquor.
As a way to curve the serious sanctions, citizens came up with the idea of speakeasy dens. The dens were venues where you could buy and drink alcohol-free from the law since they were well hidden and kept secret by the guests plus owners.
This was done by ensuring entrances were hidden, and only people with secret passwords could enter. The Barbershop has all the features: it has a hidden entrance to the bar behind a door labeled “Janitor,” and you will need a password once you book your reservation.
Some say the concept of speakeasies has been played out, but you can make the most mundane things interesting with a good twist. The Barbershop may have just achieved that.
To get into the bar, head to the back-left corner of the barbershop and locate the “Janitor” door. A second door follows in a closet-type room which directs you to the main area. If you booked a reservation, you might need a password, but for walk-ins, you can talk to the staff, who will direct you inside.

Drinks Menu
Get ready to drown in speakeasy cocktails like the Brandy Alexander made of cognac, cream, nutmeg, and crème de cacao. Bottles are mainly whiskeys and bourbon with a few selections of vodka, tequila, and scotch.
Faded karaoke Tuesdays from 10 pm are well accompanied by the Liquid Courage selection of High West Double Rye and mid-winter’s Night Dram.
One crucial note for karaoke is that you can only choose from the songs put on the karaoke list. Do not worry; most are pop & rock from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Billy Joel, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, and Bon Jovi.
Master the lingo to top up your order: three fingers for a double, two for a neat, and one finger for a single shot of your favorite drink. Bottle service is also available for large groups, or even a few; the staff ensures to make their pitch severally.
